On the 20th April an intrepid band of AS biologists set out to investigate some of the wild and remote regions of Amersham, courtesy of the Amersham Field Studies Centre. It was tough day with the beautiful sunshine, flowering bluebells and only a warm classroom to retire to if it all became too much.
The serious side to this adventure was to give our budding A level biologists a chance to practice field sampling, and statistical techniques. This contributes to their certificate of practical competence awarded at the end of the A level course.
