Windsor Castle Trip

From 21st-24th February Y8 students went on a History trip to Windsor Castle. This was an enjoyable and educational day for everyone. The day included going round the State Apartments, a tour of the Chapel and a session from the educational team. Some students were invited to dress up as the wives of Henry VIII and try on some costumes. On two of the days the students saw the changing of the guard and on every day there was a lot of enthusiasm for pictures with the guards! The Queen was in the Castle on the Friday, but sadly she was not seen by the students.

Sixth Form Ski Trip – February 2017

This February half-term 24 Sixth Form students, accompanied by 3 members of staff, skied in the Italian resort of Courmayeur. With plenty of snowfall in the weeks leading up to the trip, we were blessed with blue skies and sunshine for the majority of the trip. A fantastic time was had by all with lots of falls, laughter and progress made by all.

It is hoped that February 2018 will see a similar trip go ahead. Watch this space!

Italian Exchange Visit

15 JOA students visited Regina Mundi school in Milan last week on our first MFL exchange in many years. Students were able to interact in Italian with the families they stayed with and while they were at school, they were involved in various activities from Science experiments to games and a pizza workshop. Students also had the opportunity to visit famous landmarks in Milan, Florence and Venice, were they also experienced the Carnival. An unforgettable time was had by all and we are very much looking forward to welcoming the Italian students during the last week of the Spring term!
