Sixth Form Life Drawing

Saint Joan of Arc Art Department hosted a dynamic, day-long, creative drawing workshop run by The Royal Academy. With the life model at the centre of the day’s activities, the programme provided a unique opportunity for Art Students to explore a wide variety of approaches to drawing as a vehicle for developing their own creativity.

Students said
” A good experience – a very different way of working, it teaches you how to work quicker. It was fun to work so loosely. Not what we expected” Catarina

( Has it changed the way you work?)
“Definately – he said we should use big bold marks, because small ones were pointless. I found a new way to draw.” Sasha
“It was like an Art Workout, constantly thinking, challenging, observing” Finn
